Hi everyone. My name is James and I’ve been a maker and creator for as long as I can remember. I have always had a passion for creating things and playing games. When I was young I would spend as much time as I could in front of a computer monitor or tv screen playing games and even creating some of my own.

Sometime during high school I discovered the world of Dungeons and Dragons, and soon became obsessed with collecting dice, miniatures, and rulebooks. I loved creating my own stories and adventures for others to experience and play.

After high school I attended college to study Computer Science. I never finished the degree, as money became tight, my father fell ill, and I decided to drop out to work full-time and support my family. I never stopped learning though, and self-studied until I was fluent in several programming languages. I began coding indie video games as a hobby an continued to grow my skills on my own.

I quickly began learning new skills related to video game development such as 3D modeling, 2D art, music composition, game design, and many others. Over the years I have become quite skilled in many creative areas and software.

Several years ago now I discovered tabletop wargaming and games like 40k, guildball, SAGA, and many, many others. Once 3D printing began to become mainstream and affordable, I realized that my 3D skills could be used to create models and figures for such games. Sculpting for tabletop quickly became my passion. It was a way for me to share my art and make a little side income, and something I never seemed to tire of doing.

Up until last year I have worked in the Aviation Industry, but continued to hone my skills as an indie developer, creator, and artist. I even found the time to return to school and complete a degree in applied business as I knew I wanted to leave my current career and start a business working for myself doing something creative.

Last year I finally found that opportunity and ran with it. I married my wonderful, incredibly supportive wife in May 2022 and moved to Wisconsin that June. Since then I have left my career in aviation, and have been working full-time as a 3D artist and indie developer.
